"Wetlands"
Doug created this amazing and unique shade to fit an antique frame, using Uroboros and Youghiogheny glass. It is accented with bronze-patina seams and borders and features six concave panels and six smaller flat panels in a continuous wetland landscape. Rippled glass adds life to the water that surrounds the creatures, mountains and plant life of a Pacific Northwest wetland. Storks, frogs and blackbirds come alive, each subtly different in design and color.
The shade is mounted on a 5 foot hand-carved mahogany base with a granite footing, also designed and created by Hohenstein.
